Zappos is stepping up to help victims of a hometown tragedy.

The Las Vegas-based online shoe retailer said it would pay the funeral costs of any of the victims of the Mandalay Bay mass shooting, the Las Vegas Sunfirst reported. All families have to do is ask.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Amazon, previously said it would match $1 million in crowdsourced donations to support everyone affected after Stephen Paddock opened fire on a country music festival crowd, killing 58 people in the deadliest shooting in American history.

But since that announcement the day after the tragedy, it's pulled from its own coffers to aid a couple families who needed funds more immediately to cover transportation and funeral-related costs. The total bill came out to around $20,000, according to the Sun.

"We’ve worked with a couple families as of now but this is something we’d like to offer to as many families as we can," a Zappos spokesperson said in an email.

The company said that any family of the deceased in need of quick financial assistance can email the Zappos for Good program.

Meanwhile, the company's collected nearly $400,0000 through the crowdfunding site CrowdRise, and the paper reports that it's working with the site to determine how that money and Zappos' matching contribution will be distributed.

A Zappos spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for confirmation.
