If you thought ChatGPT was an amazingly human-seeming AI chatbot, get ready for the next generation.

On Tuesday, OpenAI announced the launch of GPT-4, following on the heels of the wildly successful ChatGPT AI chatbot that launched in November 2022.

GPT-4 has improved accuracy, problem-solving abilities, and reasoning skills, according to the announcement. In a comparison breakdown between GPT-3 and GPT-4, the newer model scored in the 90th percentile on the bar exam versus the 10th percentile with GPT-3, and 99th in the Biology Olympiad versus GPT-3 which scored in the 31st percentile. Coinciding with OpenAI's announcement, Microsoft confirmed that the new ChatGPT-powered Bing runs on GPT-4. OpenAI also announced that GPT-4 is integrated with Duolingo, Khan Academy, Morgan Stanley, and Stripe.
