SAVE $100: The Apple Watch Series 9 (45mm, GPS) just got the all-time low price treatment at Best Buy as the retailer's latest app-exclusive Drop on Dec. 21. Snag one for just $329 instead of the usual $429 through 6 p.m. ET, unless it sells out first.
In case you missed the news, the Apple Watch Series 9 is currently mired in controversy. Starting Dec. 21 at 3 p.m. ET, Apple will be pausing the sales of the Series 9 (as well as the Ultra 2) on Apple.com and at physical Apple Stores for the foreseeable future over a patent dispute. But worry not, friends. Best Buy not only still has the Series 9 on its shelves, but just gave it the Best Buy Drops treatment on the same day Apple must remove it. The drama.
Starting Thursday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. ET and running through 6 p.m. ET (unless it sells out first), the Apple Watch Series 9 (45mm, GPS) is on sale for just $329 via the Best Buy mobile app. That's $100 off its MSRP and $30 cheaper than it was during Cyber Week. It's also down to the same sale price as the 41mm, GPS version is currently.
Best Buy Drops is a pretty sweet hack for shoppers looking for major discounts on the season's most popular products. We've already seen impressive deals on the AirPods Pro and the Shark FlexStyle, which both sold out insanely quick. Now it's the Apple Watch Series 9's turn. You'll need the Best Buy mobile app (free for iOS and Android) in order to secure the deal, otherwise you'll pay $359 on the website or in stores (an extra $30).
Once you download the app, tap on the "Drops" arrow icon in the bottom center of your screen. The Apple Watch Series 9 will be at the very top under "Live Drops," where you can easily add it to your cart. A status bar will let you know how much inventory is left (and give you an idea of when to pull the trigger).
While the Series 9 isn't a necessary upgrade for everyone, it's worth getting for a few reasons. Obviously, double tap is a major selling point, which lets you complete actions with a quick finger gesture (like a pinch) on one hand. It's also faster, brighter, and has more storage. If you're looking to get the 45mm, GPS-only model, this is the best price we've seen all season. Just remember, it's an in-demand product — especially with Apple removing it from its shelves. It'll almost certanly sell out quickly. So, download that Best Buy app and add it to your cart ASAP.
