Democratic Party responds to Paul Ryan with an intern selfie of its own

After Speaker Paul Ryan drew criticism for a selfie with a seemingly homogenous group of Capitol Hill interns, the Democratic Party came back with a more diverse intern class photo of its own.

Representatives Eddie Bernice Johnson and Sheila Jackson Lee shared the photos alongside the hashtags #DemInternDiversity and #DemInternSelfie.

The photos are just a few of many responses calling attention to the seeming lack of diversity in Speaker Ryan's photo taken on Saturday at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
