The Yankees faced off against the Red Sox last night in the rubber match of their series, and took a one run lead into the ninth inning. With one out in the inning, the Yanks' hard-throwing lefty Aroldis Chapman gave up a solo shot to Red Sox rookie Rafael Devers to tie the game.

This video is the perfect representation of what being a sports fan is all about. The first half represents hope and optimism. The idea that your team will pull through and win the big game. They're gonna do it! I love this team! Nothing means more to me than this team right now!

Whereas the last half represents the more common reality of being a sports fan: heartbreak. Your team sucks and has lost, just like they always do. Lousy team. Why do you waste your time watching this garbage team every year? Goddammit.
